Safeguarding and Complaints Any child can potentially be hurt, put at risk of harm or abused, regardless of their gender, ability, religion or ethnicity. Our primary role in child protection and safeguarding is to recognise and react to signs of abuse or concern related directly to a child. Brierley Playmates management and staff teams work in partnership with our parents and carers to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children are able to feel secure and free from harm. Our close relationships help us to recognise when a child is acting in a way that is not their usual emotional or physical self; any concern will be immediately acted upon to ease a child's distress. In most cases we will always discuss our concern with the parent or carer, we may also seek advice through our Barnsley Safeguarding Children's Partnership or report directly to them depending on the concern. Parents and carers are always welcome to speak with us about any concern they have for their child; we will always do our utmost to help and support. We are able to draw upon external services who specialise in child development and child protection. We will always keep Ofsted informed of any potential risks to children. Get in Touch If you have anything that you would like to discuss with us, or if you have a complaint about our service or a staff member please refer to the area of concern and contact:
